Let's face it, we've all imagined our celebrity crushes to be in porn, or at least give us a great full frontal shot or pose in tasteful magazines like PlayGirl. There has to be an alternative universe where Dwayne Johnson was approached to do gay porn as a young adult and he happily accepted, or where Tom Holland took the place of Johnny Rapid and continues to win GayVN awards for Best Bottom. Since we don't live in that world, we can at least draw our favorite fantasies. Continuing the Erotic Art Spotlight Series at Muscle Service, and the first for 2023, I am happy to present LunarBoyArt.

Besides creating erotic fantasies with celebrities, what caught my attention in the budding erotic artist was his comment on AI technology taking the place of the art community. Is there a place for AI in the erotic art community? Should we ban it? Check out my Q&A where we discuss that and his sexy new career to date.

Eddie: Tell us how you came to practice your craft? When did you first start? Was the goal to always create sexy art or something else? Where did the interest start to want to start creating homoerotic art?

LunarBoyArt: So I've been drawing pretty much all my life. Ever since I was a kid I loved drawing and creating things. I’ve always been very shy so in school I was always in my own little bubble doodling. I took a couple of mandatory art classes in High School however I wouldn't say they were very informative. The teacher rarely ever taught us anything there.  Everything I learned was either self taught or from talented artists on YouTube sharing their tips and skills.

I never really had a ‘Goal' for my art; I was just drawing things I enjoyed. I have always had a fascination with pop culture. And so I started drawing celebrities as a kid. It was mainly just studies at the time. That slowly evolved into me drawing famous hunks in pinup style when I hit my teen years. I'm not quite sure what exactly shifted me to start drawing homoerotic content. I suppose I was just a curious gay teenager? Haha. But those were of course more tame compared to what I am making now. They were just shirtless guys in underwear.

Eddie: I've noticed you opened your Twitter during the pandemic or September of 2020, what made you take the leap and start sharing all your creative work online?

LunarBoyArt:  So lockdown happened, which meant I had a lot of extra time to draw. I was already drawing a lot before that anyways, but the pandemic really motivated me to do more of it. So I started showing a couple of the pieces I was making to my close friends. I had never shared my art with anyone before that. And they were quite surprised and suggested I share it with other people online.

I was actually terrified to open an art account. I just didn't think it was good enough to share; I thought I'd be ridiculed or sent hate for drawing porn. Art was just something I enjoyed doing for fun as a hobby. My friends were the ones who kept insisting that I should put my work out there. And I finally did. If it weren't for that push from them I would still just be creating art for myself and hiding it forever.

Eddie: Most of your art is of celebrities we all know and love redefined as hyper-sexual sluttier gay versions of themselves. Who have been some of your favorite celebrities to draw?

LunarBoyArt. Some of my favorite guys to draw are for sure Shawn Mendes, Tom Holland and Justin Bieber. I just never get tired of staring at pictures of them. Especially shirtless ones hehe. However it's always a fun time for me to draw any celeb hunk as gay sluts whoring themselves haha.

Eddie: At Muscle Service, we obviously love muscle and porn. Who are some of your favorite bodybuilders, athletes, and/ or pornstars? Have any inspired any characters in your designs?

LunarBoyArt. So I love all type of body types. Muscles, Twinks, Twunks etc etc. That being said, it's pretty hard to list all the people that come to mind right now haha. I guess I'll start with the first XXX Star I stumbled upon when I was younger. Johnny Rapid. He was on top of the game back then. And on top of my spank bank list too haha. Pierce Paris, Dante Colle, Joey Mills and of course the handsome Diego Sans. I loved all the MEN.com boys from that 2015 ish era; I still do. I think a lot of those guys definitely influenced the way I draw my hunks now. Especially in poses.

Eddie: What is your favorite fantasy that you have drawn to date? Favorite pic?

LunarBoyArt. Hmmm this is an interesting question. I can’t just pick one so I would say my favorites are my painting of Tom Holland getting fucked by venom's tentacles. That's just a really hot concept to me. And also my Thor piece of him getting stripped and humiliated in front of an audience. (In reference to the iconic scene from “Thor: Love and Thunder”)  And lastly, my most recent KJ Apa piece…I had the idea to draw him in the ‘Riverdale High’ Locker room right after a football game, seducing his straight football team mates by undressing in front of them and exposing his ass to them. I should draw what happens right after that as a sequel haha.

Eddie: When did you start finding out you had fans following your artwork? Any messages from fans that have stood out to you?

LunarBoyArt. I started noticing a lot of likes and follows were coming in when I'd upload new artwork. I was lucky enough to have had some bigger creators find my art and share it and that sent a lot of people to my account, which I really didn't expect. That was when I first started noticing that people were actually enjoying what I was making.

It was pretty strange gaining an audience. Of course I'm not a huge creator or anything but 2K Followers is more than I ever thought I'd ever get. I quite often share how thankful I am to my audience on Twitter because again, I never expected to gain a following out of this. I have many people DM me lovely messages all the time and I've also had people ask me to work with them on their projects. It's extremely flattering. Every single compliment and positive feedback means so much to me.

Eddie: We are all about supporting each other here in similar interests. Any other artists you love to follow?

LunarBoyArt: Of course! So I have a couple of people who are huge inspirations to me. @Marc0Art.  He really helped me gain an audience by sharing some of my art when I was just under 600 followers. So besides being a hyper talented artist, he was also a great help for my account. Some other people whose art I enjoy are @DigitalDistor10 @marvtokyo_ @milkypeach232 @real_leafay and my friend @Tao94Nsfw. All of them draw hot celeb hunks so check them out.

Eddie: You recently shared posts expressing your support for the hashtag #SupportHumanArtists in opposition of AI. Can you share more of your thoughts and what you think people should do to support human artists?

LunarBoyArt: Well of course commissioning artists instead of paying a machine to make art for you would be a great way to support any artist. But besides that, honestly, I really don't know. I think it's a really fucked up situation us artists have been thrown into by greedy millionaire investors. Not to mention how all AI art is just stolen art from real artists. In the end, I really don’t think this AI technology will last much longer. I’ve already been seeing laws being passed around saying that AI work cannot be copyrighted. So that's a start.

Eddie: How often do you produce new content?

LunarBoyArt: As often as I can make it I suppose. Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to be an art machine and produce 8 different illustrations daily, I am not. Sometimes one single illustration can take up to a week to finish.  It all depends on how busy life is at the time. But I almost always have something I'm working on the back burners.

Eddie: Is there a project you’ve been working on you cannot wait to complete? (Full comic?, new celebrities?, etc.?) What is new for 2023?

LunarBoyArt: I do have some ideas for big projects I want to start this year. I haven't started anything just yet besides my normal illustrations. However I have been looking into some animation. So possibly some animated celebrity hunks in the future? Here's to hoping haha. But animation is all still new to me so I don't want to get my followers too excited just yet. Practice and more practice here I come!! I would also love to learn to draw cartoon characters in my realism style. For example a realistic Flynn Rider or Hercules etc etc. But again, I have to practice that and learn to capture cartoons likenesses in a realistic human form. And lastly of course I'm always on the lookout for new celebrities for my normal illustration work. My followers are always welcome and encouraged to send in hunks they’d like for me to draw.

Eddie: If there is anything else you would like to share / talk about, please share.

LunarBoyArt: I just want to thank everyone who supports my art. Be it a follow, a like or a comment. I will continue trying my hardest to make more and better art for you guys. So I hope you guys stick around. It means a great deal to me if you do. And if you aren't following me yet you can find me @LunarBoyArt on Twitter and Instagram. Lastly I just want to thank my best friend who pushed and continues to push me daily, not only in my art but in real life. He keeps me on my feet. Thank you all so much for reading and thanks to MuscleService.com for interviewing me today. It was an honor! – @LunarBoyArt
